The IMI, School of Thought and Autotech provide the platform to enable young people to find a work placement alongside the support of the school.

Our Story

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks.

School of Thought automotive emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the automotive industry, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. We're driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.

We exist to shape and help change what young people think about careers in our industry.

Working Towards A Better Tomorrow

Testimonials

What is AWE25 and how can you get involved.

AWE25 promotes work experience designed specifically for the automotive industry throughout the year.

We are asking every employer in automotive to offer one week's placement for at least one young person during this time.

We know that not every young person will be able to attend this week, or employers may not be able to provide a placement at that time, so it's important that we keep work experience visible throughout the year.
